The longing of a soul

Honestly, there is a lot that can be said about a soul. It can feel free, beautiful, curious, and lost. That is, if we even have souls, and it's not just a societal lie we are fed in order to put some sort of belief that we live on after death. Today, this soul it unkempt, lonely in other words. It feels tired of getting messages, responding, but then having to face the melody of the music alone. Is it this hard to make a connection that is pure, and real? Is it impossible? Or is this soul searching in a place that is known for disaster, known for being a dangerous hurricane that takes, and takes? For a second the storm calms, almost as if this was all just a fantasy, but then the soul gets pulled back in, it tries and tries to hold on, but it is like trying to swim with weights tied around your feet, a hopeless battle that only hurts the more you try to breach for air.
